I heard this on ESPN of all places. I don't think I own any of his music, at least not that I know of. From what I understand he was a great studio musician before he became famous for his own stuff so I may have albums that he played on.

He was part of The Wrecking Crew, session musicians in LA, played with the Beach Boys and was the summer replacement for the Smothers Brothers. What a career.

Sail On, Rhinestone Cowboy.
I remember watching his variety show all those years ago. Great talent and great music.

Just found out a few things I didn't know about his career. He played guitar on Frank Sinatra's "Strangers In the Night", the Monkees' "I'm a Believer", and Elvis Presley's "Viva Las Vegas". Sail on.

Sail on Glen. The first major concert I ever went to was Glen at the Hordon Pavilion in Sydney manny years ago, incidentally the same venue where Jimmy stepped off the stage a few years ago.

I saw a documentary on his last tour and how bad his dementia was getting..It was sad to see but corageous on his part to show how devastating the effects are.
