Re: TGI Friday @ the MSC
Good Morning Nancy!
For only having to work 4 days this week (even with the Judge away) I'm ready for the weekend. I didn't really get a chance to catch up from last week.
Up early last Thursday for the Camden show, out in the heat for 7 hours, drive home, 4 hours of sleep, off to the beach on Friday morning for girls weekend, out in the sun for 3 days, lots of imbibing with little sleep....makes a girl exhausted. I know, I know, it's a tough life

Re: TGI Friday @ the MSC
Good morning.
The Pelicans won last night and I didn't go to the game so I missed history. It was Buddy Bailey's 2000th win of his career, only the 11th manager in the history of minor league baseball to win 2000 games. Against my better judgement, I listened to the game online (their play by play guy is just awful) and the announcer said the all time record is 2530 wins. I don't think Bailey will break the record. They only play 140 games, as opposed to 162 in the major leagues, so he'd have to manage another 7 or 8 years and he's already 60 years old. One interesting piece of baseball trivia. The Chicago Cubs gave their minor league managers and coaches World Series rings so Bailey has one. The announcer said he used to work in the Boston Red Sox organization so he also has a Red Sox World Series ring. He's one of only 7 people in the world who has one of each. Unfortunately, the dipstick announcer didn't think it was important to say who the other 6 were after he brought it up. I know Theo Epstein was a front office executive for both teams and John Lackey pitched for both teams but I have no clue who the other 4 are.
