Just booked an AirBnB close to downtown for $100/night. Worth it! As long as I can get my hands on tickets (STILL don't have an AMEX), I'm there.

If you can afford it, downtown is nice & convenient. Omni, Hilton at Bridgestone arena, renaissance by Marriott

If you want to go a bunch cheaper but still be real close to the action go across the river by the Nissan stadium. We stayed there 1 time & survived for much less than 1/2 the price of the Broadway hotels.
The rub is the Tennessee Titans have a 1:00 game that same day. That will be 60 thousand plus people that will be flocking to the city as well. How many that do the Sunday night stayover I would have no idea.

Thanks for the suggestions on places to stay in Nashville...while I'd like to say $$$ are not an issue, I just can't make myself pay $300+ to stay in an Hampton Inn. I think I'll book a little farther away and rely on Uber to get me to and from the show.
