Starting to make me squirm a little bit there Jimbo.
Been radio (margaritaville) silence on the hurricane damage and people are starting to post some stuff on the net highly negative about Jimmy's reaction or lack of .
Savannahs been pretty active but nothing from Jimmy yet except pictures from the play in new York.
Hope something comes out soon so I don't look stupid for telling people to be patient.

And Margaritaville Key West just posted on Facebook a picture of some woman enjoying a cocktail with the message "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere, so we're celebrating with xxxxxxxxxxxxx at 500 Duval Street".
Really!?!?!? They don't have any power.
Someone should be better informed and his marketing should be better managed. What a faux pas. This makes them look like idiots.
Cheers

"Jimmy and the Hurricanes" sounds like what they might have been called if they hadn't gone with "Jimmy and the Coral Reefer Band"....

It would be nice to have an update on the Keys posted on the MV website. It seems strange that they have not posted anything.

He is probably quietly helping the manatees or communicating with charities or planning a fundraiser with city officials or whatever.
I wonder what, if anything, the people b!tching about Jimmy are doing to help.

Personally, I applaud him for not being the type of celebrity who looks to other people's misfortune to find a photo-op.
As for any criticism he may receive, nobody knows what he has done to help. It's terribly hypocritical of someone sitting in front of a computer in the middle of Kansas (random example) to criticize someone for not helping enough when they are just sitting on their backside. He has no obligation to do anything to help. He has even less obligation to talk about what he might be doing to help. But I can't imagine he is doing nothing...he's likely spending plenty of his own money to the cause, but he's just not bragging about it. That would be disingenuous. And does anyone really expect a 70-year-old man to be out there helping move trees, or pull people out of stranded cars?

Well margaritaville social media isn't helping g. They haven't even acknowledged that the hurricanes happened. They erased Jimmy's Facebook photo from new York that had most of the negative comments in it.
If they would've just posted something our hearts are in the keys or something I don't think it would've taken off the other night

Kirsten said tonight during the 7pm Buffett buffet that Jimmy is working on some projects (I wasn't paying close attention so I can't quote her word for word)...... To help out with the situation in the Keys

But there is no power and no internet in KW, and the rest of the lower Keys are in worse shape.

Thank you, Jim.

Key West should be up and running within the next few days, from what I hear but this could change. Big Pine through Cudjoe Key has the worst of damage.

I am sure at some point he will do something.
I say a "virtual" acoustic concert. Everyone pays $20 and it is just Jimmy and Mac on his boat or on a beach. Tells stories and plays rare songs and ballads.
one can dream....

Jimmy has homes in both South Florida, and St. Bart's. Even with all his millions, I am sure that there are "things" in both locations that he values personally and would hate to lose. Worrying about the state of his own stuff, and taking care of such is probably his first priority, as it should be - not posting stuff on social media.

I'm glad that he mentioned Singing for a Change will be involved in restoration/relief process. It is going to be a long term process, and this is an organization that would be there for the long haul. My donation is on it's way.

This always been some people's reaction without knowing first.
