My sons Band Roxy Roca from Austin, Texas has been notified their October 13,14,15 dates at the Green Parrot are still a go, so that looks like at least Key West is making it back. They will be touring all Month so they were waiting on the word for that leg off the Tour. You can follow them at roxyroca.com they will be heading to Japan in November.

Everyone of my friends that I talk to from there are saying that almost everything is back up and running in Key West and they need your tourist dollars to start coming back in. The middle keys are in a mass cleanup but Key West is ready. We are leaving in a week and a half to rent for a while down there.

Re: A Florida Keys update
Just got back from the Keys. Key West is pretty much business as usual. Islamorada looks fairly decent, as does Key Largo, but Largo still has a good deal of tree debris on the side of US1.
Saddlebunch through Marathon is still a mess. Big Pine and Ohio Keys are particularly bad and people are still displaced, some living in tents. It looks like modern construction held up for the most part, but there’s still a great deal of damage and debris throughout. Areas that had trailer homes are in very bad shape.

Re: A Florida Keys update
Our hearts go out. We hope to visit in Spring Break of 2019 with the kiddo.
For those interested, over here Port Aransas and Rockport are still totally devastated. It will take years for Port Aransas to recover. Rockport is moving along, but has so far to go.
I can only imagine what Puerto Rico, Dominica, St. John's, St. Martin and Anguilla are going through.
Thoughts and prayers to all that were affected during this season.
