COLORFUL SUNDAY @ THE MSC

Hello Everybody!

It's National Color Day (sorry for those who are color blind like my own husband :o )

National Color Day is observed annually on October 22. Color has the power to affect a mood, draw attention, even cause alarm.

It is hard to imagine the world without color. Without color, we would nearly be blind. Doctors check for health through the color of a patient’s skin. On a late, cool autumn morning, sparkling frost and leaves changing from green to vermillion signal a change of seasons. A flush of color in the cheeks of friend sends a cue of her embarrassment. The street light turns from green to yellow, to red. In the Grand Canyon layers of sediment range in color from black to pale ash. All these signs alert us to change through color.

Fall colors have really come into their own here in the Upper LH Corner. The weather is just too inclement to get out and enjoy them!
We had the rainiest winter ever last year, followed by the driest and warmest summer ever. Now it's October and we've had the rainiest October ever, with more than a week to go! We had a couple of worst ever wildfires in the state during the summer drought and now that it's raining, with no ground cover to retain the precipitation, those areas are having some of the worst flooding ever.
Gawd, I hope things can "normalize" before we need Federal help!
