Good morning Bill, and anyone else who may pop in while I'm typing. Heading to the Red Cross in a little while to donate platelets. I donated 2 weeks ago and they had a hard time hitting the vein when they stuck the needle in my left arm for the return flow. The bruise hasn't faded yet.

Good Morning Fellas !
Dreary Monday here in Southcentral PA. Had pre-op blood drawn this morning. Hopefully a quiet 2 days here at work -- gearing up for a busy Wed & Thurs. Then, as government employees, Kevin & I have a day off on Friday.

Happy Monday to you pholks who had to go to work today, happy "just another day of retirement" to you phellow retirees!
I'm a big baby when it comes to needles, I can't even get a flu shot without some anxiety. A couple of weeks ago I was in for a blood draw and the phlebotomist introduced herself and said she was a student and was that OK... I said that was fine (although it wasn't necessarily so...) that I wasn't going to watch anyway. I had my eyes closed tight as she went through the routine, and closed them even tighter when she yelled about halfway through "I need a supervisor here!" I'm not sure what she did, but I had one hell of a bruise afterwards. (It doesn't help that I'm on blood thinners....) I still don't know what the problem was, but I probably woulda passed out if I'd looked.

I don't mind needles, I just can't watch when they put it in. Today they didn't bother trying the same spot that's still bruised from the last time, they put the needle for the return flow on the outside of my arm a couple of inches above the wrist. Went in first try, no problems at all.

Morning BN. We're usually open on Friday and Saturday. A few locations are open Sundays working those days are voluntary.

Ahoy! I stuffed envelopes for arts council donation and then worked out. At the gym, a statuesque girl in yoga pants brought out the painter in me.
I miss summer.

I used to be really bad about needles. Don't mind them these days.
Cold and foggy here all day. Another PT appointment for E.
Nachos for dinner.

I guess I can't be too squeamish about needles - I have at least four and sometimes six a day...

It's not too bad, and once you work out how it rarely hurts.
Besides it's better than the alternative...
