Agree.

The musical starts a 2-year road tour this fall. What better way to get folks interested locally than MOTM attendees taking it back home?

There is no seating. Some will put chairs around the perimeter where the main stage is , or grab a lounge chair near the pool. But in front of the stage , people mostly stand.

It’s on the Bucket list for sure. I also thinkJimny is gonna show up this year.

Anyone who has went is it worth going even if your not into the trop rock ? I know I’m in the minority here but i only like a few trop rock songs.

There was an email sent , they are looking for people to register , and they are taking a financial hit , basically was the gist of it . Last year was understandable , because of the Hurricane and the unknown. This year , I think I read, they need something like 400 registrations to break even. I wish I could at least lower that number to 399. But , it's not in my budget. I just hope there is a next year. I also wonder , and I love KW , that change of scenery would help, more star power for the closing Sat night concert maybe. I wonder what regular attendees think? Is there too many other events that people choose to go to? MOTB being one.

Valid points for sure! It is a pretty steep investment $$ wise for kind of the same old same old. If you knew Toby Keith or Darius Rucker or John Fogerty, someone of that star power was onboard would that make a difference?

Toby was there the last time i went 2 years ago. He was great. It wasn't announced until that day. Of course booking Jimmy at the Casa has helped in other years. It's not so much the 90.00 for the entertainment. The problem is , a lot of the performers play at other places that are free , so people don't register. It's also the hotels , and other establishments raising there prices that hurt. Especially going solo on the hotel rates. Plus the cost of a rental car , if flying into Ft Lauderdale , Miami for example.

This is pretty embarrassing. As a 20 year parrothead with about 50 or 60 shows under his belt, i have no idea what
MOTM is. I know its a few days of 'trop rocking' and living the KW life but.....
How do i get involved, can i just show up? Do i need
tickets in advance ? Do we just stay anywhere on KW and walk to where the 'parties' are ?
Any help, the dates (dont know about the $$$)
work for me

1st you need to be a current member of a Parrothead Club. 2nd you need to register 90.00. The Main stage is at the Casa Marina Hotel , registering gets you onto Casa property for the music and events. Some of the talent play outside the Casa at various bars. Staying at the Casa at this point is not going to happen. Those rooms go as soon as registration starts. You would want to stay in the Casa Marina / Duval Street area so walking between The Casa and The Duval area is easier if you choose. Google Meeting of the Minds 2018 , and you can find the link , with a lot of information.
