Jimmy went on a 4 year streak of no shows in Houston from '03 to '07.

Could this mean another venue? Back to Starplex? I have been to a show in The Woodlands. Great sound, but a HORRIBLE tailgating experience. Only one small lot allowed for tailgaters.

I don't know...the tailgate at The Woodlands is ok. Granted, it ain't Kyle Field, but it's ok. But what can I say, you are correct that Frisco is all about the tailgate and The Woodlands is all about the show. The sound quality there is impeccable, which is why SunLover's Woodlands downloads are the best. I will say that the party at the Mariott bar pre-show gets crazy, and all you have to do is walk across the street.

Jimmy does a quality show wherever he is though, however.

Planosmith1, please tell us you have good news for us! Anything new to share with us regarding Jimmy coming to Frisco this year and when it will be? We will be SO disappointed in he skips Frisco this year!

I wish I had some good news...but I don't. It doesn't look good this year.

couple of things that have been going through my head

Might be trying to work with the Astros schedule to another Minute Maid park show. It could push the show back to the fall.

Or

I noticed the number of peeps needing medical and getting arrested last year up from previous years. I believe this is the only venue on the tour that lets tailgating start on Friday. Maybe the city is cracking down on it even though they make money off the lots (or TABC )

I know we always start speculating in January, but when do we normally get the best educated guesses and the actual date announcement?
I just wish we would know for sure so I can start planning another venue! It might be nice to go somewhere else........for what we spend to put the RV in the parking lot, we can probably fly somewhere to see him

Maybe he is working on a show at the Motor Speedway?????

January 10th, 2017 for the June 2017 show is when PlanoSmith gave the first (and best) guess. Rumors started around January 7th.

If PlanoSmith does not know when a JB show is happening it is probably not happening. He has nailed the correct date for the last few years.

My source at the venue has not confirmed anything yet. He said nothing is in the works. If I hear, I'll post immediately.

I'm sure that also means no Houston also.

I thought I saw that they announced last year’s Houston show on February 16th. So I’m going to wait until March 1 before I throw in the towel.

It still doesn't look good. My source said nothing is in works for Texas this year. If it changes, I'll let everyone know.

I am not surprised. We all knew this day would come when he slows the tours down. I know if I was as rich as Buffett, I'd probably be very hard to find.

This is a heartbreaker. Nowhere even near Texas, besides NOLA. Where to go, what to do?

Sources at Margaritaville say Jimmy is doing some gigs with The Eagles and will not be performing at his annual stop in FRISCO TEXAS this year (2018) at Toyota Stadium which usually happens close to Memorial Day.

Jimmy is doing some touring with The Eagles starting April 21, 2018, so far only four dates for the Eagles/Buffett shows have been announced 2 in April and 2 in June. It is likely that additional dates in May could be announced so Jimmy might not be booking some of his regular tour stops in 2018 as a result
