Across the nation each year on December 20, National Sangria Day is observed by enjoying a well-mixed sangria.
Sangria is a beverage made with wine and sweetened with fresh fruit and fruit juices. Other ingredients can include herbs, spices, carbonation, and liquor.
The combinations are endless, giving sangria a place at in the cocktail rotation year round. Refreshing and light during hot summer months, bright and sparkling during the winter ones, this fruity punch is quite versatile.
Sangria made with white wine is called Sangria Blanca.
Use fresh fruit in season for the best flavors. Once mixed, sangria should be chilled and the fruits allowed to marinate a few hours or overnight.

Good morning Linda. I forgot water for the bus ride back to the hotel at Pittsburgh. Someone gave a bottle with sangria. Big mistake! Enjoy your day, pholks.

Good morning. I mixed a few gallons of sangria for a family party a few months back. It was a big hit.

Good morning.
Victor's Cafe, a great Cuban restaurant in NYC, has (or had, I haven't been there in almost 10 years) great sangria. It's expensive though, it was $30/pitcher back then.

Afternoon BN.
Looked up the price for sangria at Victor's: $29 for half a pitcher; $41 for a whole pitcher. At that price, it better be good!

I picked up my new car November 4. I just got the registration in today's mail, it says it was issued December 13. It takes 39 days to issue a registration, then another week for it to get here?

I liked Victor's sangria but I didn't have it every time I went there because of the price. They used to have chunks of guava floating in it.
I know this will be hard to believe because there's a Hooter's in Manhattan, but Victor's was my favorite restaurant when I worked in NYC.

The Beer Den is having a "Baby It's Cold Outside" party with all winter beers on tap, it starts at 5:00. It's pouring down rain, I think I'll stay home and drink beer tonight.

Love sangria and have great recipes for both red and white.
Weird that the 'national day' is December, we only ever have it in the summer.

I'll have to check Victor's out.
