Good morning everyone and "enjoy" work. I don't go back until tomorrow so today is for doing all the chores I set out to accomplish at the beginning of break and never touched. First on the agenda is going to see "The Greatest Showman."


It is "warm" here compared to what it has been. I guess we are already into the teens for temp.. Tomorrow evening we go back into the deep freeze. I am very grateful for a well-insulated home and the ability to afford our gas bill when we decide to bump the thermostat up a few more degrees. Just wish we had a heated "bathroom" for our old man dog. He doesn't even want to go out to do his business and I can't say that I blame him.

Still stupid cold here. This morning will be Dr appointments for us. I'm currently in the waiting room while hubby has his teeth cleaned & then we will head to my foot follow up.
Between the 'what's wrong with my foot', surgery & follow ups, I have been to the Dr every week since Dec 4th
I'm really over this but very thankful to have had enough sick leave to still be getting a pay check!

In the 40s here.. New words a Northerner must learn when the move to the South.. Hard Freeze and Soft Freeze..

I drove by the old Tilted Kilt location and there's a temporary sign over the door that says BENCH WARMERS GRILL & TAP ROOM. There weren't any cars in the parking lot so I guess it isn't open yet but I'll have to give it a try when it does open. It's probably time for Tilted Kilt to give up on Myrtle Beach. The old one closed in the fall of 2014. The new one opened in October, 2016 and lasted just over a year. I thought the service was much better in the new one but it was never very crowded when I went there. Too bad, I still have some prizes to redeem from both the college football and NFL contests. The closest one is in Wilmington, NC and I'm not making a 4 hour round trip to get a free burger, free appetizer or free boneless wings. At least I redeemed one free burger coupon when I was in Las Vegas.

Looks like it will be BBQ day at P & E's!!!! I wish I could wave a magic wand and get you your dream job---2 hours a week and a million dollar salary will full benefits. Heck I would wave the wand and take that job myself!

I got a weather alert on my phone a little while ago, there's a winter storm warning for tomorrow. It says we could get significant snowfall. I kept reading, it said 2-3 inches. That isn't significant snowfall.

We're under it as well. Blew my mind when they showed the map that extended down the east coast & included upper FL & panhandle
Although, for us, it's 'supposed to stay' just east & produce a dusting.

For what many of us know? Nope, that's just a dusting. But for the 'South', it's a lot.

2-3 inches of snow paralyzes Seattle... They close the schools if they think it might snow the next day!

We've had snow twice since I moved here but the last time was 4 years ago. I went grocery shopping this afternoon, I'm surprised the milk, bread and eggs weren't all gone.

The beer aisle was pretty well stocked. I didn't buy any, I bought some last week when I got home from Vegas so I'm good even if we get "snowed in" for a couple of days.
