Gonna have to leave my flip flops at home. The evening is supposed to be a rain/snow mix. Hope the weather forecasters are wrong.C4Parrothead wrote: ↑April 2, 2018 11:09 am Forecast looks awful - hopeful that changes throughout the week.

I may bail on this one. I don't know if I want to drive 3 1/2 hours each way, pay for 2 nights in a hotel and get rained on all day Saturday.

I'm not bailing on this one but who schedules an outdoor concert in the first week of April? I'll breath in breath out and move on but I'm not happy with it. This concert should have been in May. Alcohol and cold weather could be a problem if people don't come prepared.

Re: Who's Going to Charlotte 4/7/18?
Seriously, you're upset by the reschedule? He did what was right. Many artists wouldn't have even rescheduled at all. Really appreciate him making it work. I will take 3 weeks for a 75-80 degree Friday show vs a 40 degree rainy show tomorrow.
Someday I will.

When the Austin, TX show was rescheduled a few years back because of cold weather, the announcement was made the afternoon of the show. We were already in the parking lot tailgating.

It's not even getting to freezing. There's cold, but low of 35, high of 60 isn't it. Yes, I'm upset...C4Parrothead wrote: ↑April 6, 2018 9:48 amSeriously, you're upset by the reschedule? Supposed to be a high of 58 tomorrow 90% chance of rain. 43 at 8pm & 39 by 11. Think he made the right call.daaave33 wrote: ↑April 6, 2018 10:27 amIt's not even getting to freezing. Now that the show has been rescheduled, I may call TicketMaster and see about getting a refund. The new date is the weekend the Blue Angels are here in Myrtle Beach. The concert is Friday, the air show is Saturday and Sunday so I can still do both. I have 3 weeks to think about it. ![noeyedear-shrugging [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]](./images/smilies/noeyedear-shrugging.gif)

Re: Who's Going to Charlotte 4/7/18?
Let's be honest. This decision (which I am happy with) was more about the $$$ than doing what was right. The promoter was going to lose major $$$. TM was upgrading lawn seats for $10 to seats. With that said, there was a nearly an entire row in Section 6, front of the section, dead center that was empty.C4Parrothead wrote: ↑April 6, 2018 9:48 amSeriously, you're upset by the reschedule? We are the People would have been in the lot at 1:00, but the casual fan would have stayed home and beer and concession sales would have been hurt terribly.
I have no problem with the decision, nor the fact that it was made yesterday.
As for an Outdoor Concert the first week of April in Charlotte--It was 75 and I was on the golf course yesterday. We're just getting some crazy late season weather this year. He's played the third week of April three times previously and it's hasn't been like this.
Glad to have JB back in Charlotte, and it'll be worth a three week wait!
