Now that the World Series is almost over, I took a look at the Sports Illustrated baseball preview issue from back in March. They picked the Nationals over the Yankees in the World Series. At least the Yankees made the playoffs, the Nationals continued their run as the most underachieving team in the major leagues.

Dodgers have made it to the World Series 15 times during my lifetime.
1952, 1953, 1955, 1956, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1974, 1977, 1978, 1981, 1988, 2017, and 2018.
This is the first time they’ve been in the World Series during my life that I WANTED them to win.
But you know the saying- “You can wish in one hand.....................”

I hear you Garry.
Lets see, ex Tigers JD Martinez...Rick Porcello...Ian Kinsler...David Price....and fricking GM Dave Dombrowski getting rings when they couldn't get it done in Detroit.

Actually hold no animosity towards them other than maybe DD......but Red Sox Nation....
Expecting to see about 1,000 Red Sox people in full gear this week in KW.
Lord help me........

Hi Garry
Well, George, I guess I understand how you feel. Remember, I’m a Cubs fan too, and they didn’t win the World Series until just before my 109th birthday.
I guess that gives me something to look forward to when I turn 218.
Congratulations to your team. Celebrate your okole off.

I’m packing for Key West as we speak. I should probably throw my Yankee cap into my duffel bag to bring with me.
I’ve already packed my Dodger cap.
INTO THE G.D. GARBAGE CAN!!!

The Rookie of the Year winners in both leagues are going to be announced tonight. Former Myrtle Beach Pelican Gleyber Torres is one of the American League finalists.
