Good morning. It's also Fastnacht Day. The day we eat donuts called "fastnachts" or "fasnachts" (spelling is optional).
I got mine fresh this morning a half hour after they were made.

Good morning BN, Mardi Gras has been going on here with parades and parties for several weeks, finally Fat Tuesday! Schools and banks are closed in some areas for the holiday.

Good morning.
We have a Dick's Last Resort in North Myrtle Beach. It's in the Barefoot Landing complex and they usually have a parade around the parking lot in the afternoon on Fat Tuesday and then a big party inside the restaurant when the parade's over. I went last year and it was a good time. They're not having it this year, there's so much construction going on in Barefoot Landing (the new Lulu's, among other things) if they had the parade it would be over in about 5 minutes.

Afternoon BN. Working late today, so no celebration. Friday the is the Lunar New Year, so will be doing the simple dinner thing with the family.

I brought king cake for the office today. I was surprised at how many of them had never had it.

OUCH! I burnt my finger again on that stupid glue gun. My decorations are coming along for the Cabin Fever weekend. I did 3 parrots about 3 feet long with spread wings that will hang from balconies.
It's fun getting in the groove.

Maybe wear some gloves??
Since E's surgery, my sister took my Friday visit to Mom's, so I took the Tuesday visit today. Only a few groceries, and she was playing video "Wheel of Fortune" when I got there, with her "Residence Club". So glad she's FINALLY mingling with other residents!
