This is my first show!!! Bucket list box will be checked. My friends and I will be getting into town on Monday and will ready to start throwing down early. I've heard and seen pictures of the great tailgating pre parties, but Riverbends website says the gates to park don't open until 6pm. What's the alternative? Bars?

Brand new to this forum!
Hopefully attending this concert that will be my first Buffett Concert.
I read above about the Tailgating but wanted to know more about the exact location of the Tailgate lot and some tips for when to get there, what to bring, the cost ect.
Can't wait to make this off my bucket list.

Welcome to Buffett News, Zville. I'm Bill. This is the tailgate to attend. All the info for the day is on this thread, except for the aerial view map found on an older thread or google maps. Bring food,drinks,cups and plastic dinner ware to share with neighbors. Games if you have them invite pholks to your spot. Bring a pop up if you have one. The venue is very easy to get to, right off the interstate. You will pay dearly for a motel room. Good luck!

We will be attending the concert! Not sure what time we will make it there due to other obligations earlier that day that we are trying to reschedule.
My question is that if we are too late for the tailgate lots, are there other locations that have tailgating prior to the show and then just drive in closer to show time and park? We are going to try to get there in time but just not sure yet.

Really only 2 options to take in true Cincy tailgating. Get in line early for an actual spot in the grass lots across from Coney. Or if arriving later, park in Coney and walk over and join in!!

This hits the nail on the head. If you know you're coming in later, pack Mobile Gear! Cooler on wheels, maybe back-pack style lawn chair or light-weight chair in a bag. Your cooler will have your "base" liquid consumptions....and your parrothead phriends most likely will have "other" liquid consumptions along with food to share!!

Only 2 weeks out! We are coming up from Memphis and plan to tailgate all day. We are gathering supplies and decorations this week. Our main goal is to get in the grassy lot even if that means getting line at 6am. Are there any pre concert festivities/contests going on within the tailgate?

Last year I had the best tailgate spot
there was....right next to body painter.
Endless stream of babes waiting in his line that I had to entertain!
Hoping to make it there again this year but lot’s of stuff still up in the air.
