We will be seeing JB for the 17th time BUT our FIRST time in Vegas!

We got Section 6, Row S; 7 seats together. Sounds like we might be a ways away??

Any recommendations?

We are staying at the MGM Grand Signature attached to the MGM Grand Hotel.

Can't wait to see JB in Vegas!

Caroline Jones is performing at Margaritaville Vegas on October 19th, so my guess is......

Interesting side note.... Caroline's daddy is a billionaire hedge-fund manager:

She is with him during this first leg of the tour, then the Vegas show in October. She also has some shows with Zac Brown in July.

Based on the KC show, she will probably do an acoustic set of 4 songs, then quickly clear off the stage. Jimmy should be on stage closer to 9:20p ET, give or take, since they don't have her full band to clear.
Ok. Which is it?

Boz Scaggs is now the special guest for both the Wrigley Field show and the Vegas show.

Caroline Jones could also appear in Vegas as she has a solo gig at the Vegas Margaritaville on 10/19

Having these opening acts gives me more time to drink and gamble in the sports book before the show.

Hey Nick, I'm not Holly but have been to 5 JB shows in Vegas and we are going again this October. Its a great time. There is a pre-concert pool party at the Flamingo the day of the concert which is a hoot. Margaritaville is party central that weekend too.

Thanks!! Looking forward to meeting everyone! We get in early Friday. Will hit the pool and casino and we are seeing Lionel Richie Friday night. Will for sure to hit up the Flamingo as well as Margaritaville on Saturday. RELAX on Sunday and then back to reality on Monday.

Sorry I have not been on in a LONG time.. yes, it's me; there is only ONE Karat that matters. [smilie=battingeyes.gif] Doubt I will make it out to this show. NICK! It took me 10 mins to realize it is you! *sigh* It's been a day! Sorry I won't be out there...not in the budget or time off, since I am in a new job and already have vacation planned for Key West!

Vegas is great. Hopefully some of the old group of BN will be there! I miss that bunch!

I've got a friend who lives in Vegas, and I'm thinking of going to visit him and dragging him to his first Buffett show (my 9th) in October. To me, the best part of the Buffett experience is the tailgate, and as a Georgian I've been to a few of those at Lakewood, where there is one giant parking lot with tons of fun folks and crazy setups. Is there anything close to that tailgating experience in Vegas? Everything I've seen so far looks like folks crammed like sardines into a couple of places along the strip, such as the Flamingo. It'd be great if there were some sort of daylong "unofficial" massive Parrothead gathering similar to other cities. Any thoughts? Thanks!

You're out of luck in Vegas. The only official gathering the day of the concert is at the Flamingo Pool Complex. I love a good tailgate and it's not that. But I also love a good pool party and it is definitely that. It's a fun time and a different Buffett pregame experience. You can stay for an hour or stay all day, depending on how you like it.

What are thoughts are where to stay in Vegas? Since no Buffett in Texas this year, hubby surprised me with a birthday present .......two tickets to see Buffett in Vegas.

I know Flamingo would be convenient for the pool party but it has bad review and I personally had a not so good experience there years ago..although the pool was great!

I think the MGM has nicer rooms and will be convenient for the show...so I am leaning in that direction. Or even somewhere else....
I know a few years back when I planned on going to Vegas, they still had the street party and seemed like a lot more people were excited about going. Hoping this will be a fun one.

Also what about Last Man Standing???

We are loyal to MLife so we either stay at MGM or Mirage, whether we are there for Buffett or not. We like the MGM for the concert since we don't have far to go afterwards and we can take the monorail to/from the pool party.

We have always stayed at the Monte Carlo but with their renovations and rebranding we are staying at the MGM this time around. Definitely convenient for the concert.
