When I was driving home from the Pelicans game last night, I saw something I had never seen before in the 5 1/2 years I've lived here. A deer by the side of the road. Not roadkill, it was just standing there on the grass about 10 feet from the road. I'm glad it didn't decide to run across the road as I was approaching, the speed limit is 55 so I never would have been able to stop in time.

Deer can really do some damage to your car. Over 30 years ago I actually had deer jump OVER my car as I was driving up a hill.

I'm kinda glad I'm not going to be here this weekend. It is the spring game for Aggie football (aka Jimbo's first big debut). In a way, it would be good to see the game. But - it is also parent weekend and Aggie Ring weekend). It is going to be a cluster around town. I just got an email saying to expect delays getting into my parking garage on Friday. lol (I park right across from Kyle Field and it is closest public parking to where students can go pick up their Aggie Rings)

Plumber is back. So far, they have punched a hole in the ceiling....glad it was in the garage.
Not exactly know what they are doing but it has to do with upstairs toilet. Still don't know why dishwasher is leaking on carpet.

I just got an email from Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom. I had entered their online contest during the NCAA Basketball Tournament. They had prizes based on how many points you had in each round, various free food items. I thought those were the only prizes. The email says I was a winner at my local restaurant and they would be adding $100 to my rewards account on my World Beer Tour card. Looks like I'll be a semi-regular customer, the $100 has to be spent by August.
