Morning BNers.
Yes, I am still awake. After my Drs appt, I took a nap so my sleep pattern is messed up. I also got a steroid shot that makes me feel better but makes me crazy the first night.
So, I am having a party....eating pie and drinking juice. I am also starting a packing list for later in the summer. Anyone want to join me?

Hope you are snoozing now! Dogs started whining early today, but made them wait till 630, now they are fed and I'm getting ready for work. Make it a good Thursday everyone.

I'm still awake. Been shopping (Disney and qvc) and working on the family tree on Ancestry. I ordered a DNA test so maybe I can figure out how many wrong roads I have gone down.

Hi Penny
You can help me shop or work on my family trees.
Our trees aren't any more complicated than most, but when brothers marry sisters, one dies and they marry another sibling, it gets harder to track the kids.

Thanks, but I'll pass. Too much fun for me.

Good morning. I'm breaking out the shorts for the first time this year (except when I was in Florida 2 weeks ago), it's supposed to be 75 degrees this afternoon.

I did the DNA test from Ancestry 2 years ago, I was surprised at the results.

I am anxious to see the results. I was always told we were Irish, but I haven't found anything definite but maybe I missed something. It will be fun getting the results and see if any distant family members took the test too.

My father's family is Portuguese and my mother's family is Irish. When I got the results, it was 25% Iberian peninsula so I guess there's some Spanish along with the Portuguese and 24% Ireland. Then there was 16% Great Britain, 15% Italy/Greece, 5% Middle East (they didn't break it out by country), 4% Scandinavia, 3% Western Europe, 2% North Africa, 1% Senegal and trace amounts (less than 1%) Southeastern Africa Bantu, Nigeria, Benin/Togo, Finland/Northwest Russia and the Caucasus. My ancestors got around.

Wow. That used to be called Heinz 57.

Your relatives didn't miss many spots. You need to visit some of those places.

The Blue Angels are in town. I just went downstairs to get my mail and 2 of them went roaring overhead.
I went to Old Chicago for lunch so I could use up some of the $100 in "OC Bucks" that I won with my NCAA bracket. I killed 2 birds with 1 lunch, I completed another one of their Mini Tours and got a free Cinco de Mayo t-shirt. I should probably run it through the dryer to get rid of the wrinkles.
