Wonderful WED @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Hello BN!

It's looking like a few beautiful days here in south-central PA - finally.

Off to work we go. But, I leave tomorrow at noon for my girls beach "weekend". 15 yrs ago it started as an after work on Friday - Sunday evening weekend. A little at a time we added more time and this time we leave at noon on Thursday and return Monday evening :) (not that I'm complaining but that's more time that Kevin is alone and can get into trouble -- not that the girls don't) [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

Went from 40* Sunday running the wood stove, to all windows opened yesterday at 72* and calling for higher today.

Maybe I'll get the top and doors off the Jeep today

It's time to officially open the tiki bar after some house cleaning & laundry.

Good morning.

The Pelicans were playing a terrible game last night - lots of men on base but they only scored 2 runs, bad base running (3 guys thrown out on the bases), and they were losing 4-2 after 8 innings so I left in the top of the 9th inning. I get up this morning and check their website and see in the bottom of the 9th 3 of the first 4 batters walked so they had bases loaded and 1 out. The next guy gets a double, all 3 runs scored and they won 5-4. I finally went to a game they won this year and I wasn't there at the end to see it. That'll teach me.

SO sick and tired of reading these words... :x :( :-? It's BS, cause my skill set completely matches their 'needs'.. I just applied to this position 24 hours ago..
We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for the position. We received many qualified applications and have decided to move forward with another candidate who we feel is a better match for our needs at this time.

I forgot to mention this before. I was standing down the right field line before the game started last night, the Pelicans clubhouse is behind the right field wall so the players have to walk from there to the dugout before the game. They give away a free program at the games, the same issue for each home stand, and there's a different player's picture on the cover of each issue. I try to get the player on the cover to sign it. While I was waiting for the guy on the cover to come out of the clubhouse, one of the catchers came out. The guy's name is Jhonny Pereda and he's from Venezuela. There was a little girl, maybe 8 years old, standing there with a baseball. She asked him to sign it and he did. Then, instead of continuing on to the dugout he stayed there for a couple of minutes and played catch with the little girl, tossing the ball back and forth over the fence. And he was the guy who got the bases loaded double in the 9th inning to win the game. I think I'm going to root for Jhonny Pereda this year. [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]

Morning BNers.
I need to try to get some stuff done today.
We saw Walter Trout and band with Lance Lopez last night at a very small venue. Great guitar playing and lots of fun.

Sounds cool..Trout is coming into the area in the next few weeks with Gary Hoey at a somewhat local outdoor park type amphitheater wherein you bring your own chair. $35, but may take the plunge & check it out.

Ok Peeps, during my blood work, they found my sugar and potassium levels were not in the normal range. I have to redo the blood work...ugh. I am trying to eat a little better before the retest. I am only drinking water with flavoring. What should I be eating? I had a salad last night, microwave egg for breakfast and cottage cheese with tomato for lunch and a few oyster crackers. Will have salmon for dinner with a few fingerling potatoes.
Any suggestions?

We do salmon covered in ranch or bleu cheese dressing as a marinade and wrapped in foil on the grill. Quicker cooking can be done in the microwave(no foil, of course).
