too late for me
YIKES but, at least it was on the tail end of your trip (no pun intended)melon59 wrote: ↑May 22, 2018 9:45 am It's my last day in Sarasota and yesterday we went to St Armands and I tripped in my flip flops on an uneven sidewalk and went down pretty hard. Rolled around on my back like an upside down turtlewaiting for the pain to subside before getting on my battered and bloody knees and my friend and a total stranger in a business suit helped me haul my fat a$$ up off the sidewalk...very embarrassing but SO funny now!! Toes are scraped, bruising on left leg and right knee looks like raw meat...but nothing broken so I have that going for me!
Flying back to Ohio tomorrow, back to work Thurs and Fri, then heading to Cleveland on Sat for the big Blossom pre party and concert! Phins up!

See if you can get airport folks to snag one of those fancy schmancy golf-cart type contraptions to transport youmelon59 wrote: ↑May 22, 2018 10:40 amSaltx3 wrote: ↑May 22, 2018 10:18 amYIKES but, at least it was on the tail end of your trip (no pun intended)melon59 wrote: ↑May 22, 2018 9:45 am It's my last day in Sarasota and yesterday we went to St Armands and I tripped in my flip flops on an uneven sidewalk and went down pretty hard. In Des Moines for Buffett concert #99 in just under 10 hours.
Who would've ever thunk it back in 1987.![]()
I hope the weather's better than it was when I was there 6 years ago, that wind was ridiculous. If the hot woman from your Parrothead club is there (I think she was a hairdresser?), tell her I said hi.Wino you know wrote: ↑May 22, 2018 11:10 am Hello everybody who's anybody.![]()

Yeah, I remember that day. Still- as windy as it was, it was nothing like when we were in Omaha a few day before. (Remember? We needed Noah and the Ark that day. He had two of everything, why not two extremely grumpy old men).LIPH wrote: ↑May 22, 2018 12:19 pmI hope the weather's better than it was when I was there 6 years ago, that wind was ridiculous. We got to chatting, and her husband brews beer and they go to breweries, too! She was the first person I interviewed with who actually asked if I had any upcoming (already planned) vacations and such. I had to mention the Buffett/Eagles concert and she was SO jealous, cause they didn't get tickets. One of her questions was, "What do you think is an obstacle in getting back to the work routine"? I laughed and said, "waking up early".
She said she loved my honesty, and laughed too. Fingers crossed.
