Where I'm A Going To Go Wednesday @ the MSC
Good morning BN. The holiday weekend that starts summer is upon us. I'm going to Cleveland.
Where will you go?
Where will you go?
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill, Nancy, and Deb.
No plans here. Rec Center for exercising, Mom's weekly grocery trip, and the Indy 500 on Sunday.
My sister and I are taking Mom to the eye surgeon today, as we just found out she needs cataract surgery in both eyes. Always something..

Good morning. No plans for the Memorial Day weekend here. It's Bike Fest and I never go anywhere until Tuesday when it's over, all the bars and restaurants are too crowded.
BTW, did a politician or somebody famous die recently that I missed? When I went to the Pelicans game last night the flag was at half staff.

Last we saw about half staff flag flying was when the President directed it as a result of the Texas shooting...LIPH wrote: ↑May 23, 2018 10:19 am Good morning. Our Nation grieves with those affected by the shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas. May God heal the injured and may God comfort the wounded, and may God be with the victims and with the victims’ families. As a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the terrible act of violence perpetrated on May 18, 2018, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, May 22, 2018. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including
all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand eighteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-second.

When you are retired, a day off is the same as other days.
No plans other than Indy 500...it is a tradition.
Btw...that was quite a Rockets game last night.

I wasted too much time this morning, I was going to go for a walk in the park but it's raining. I think I'll go get a haircut instead.

No plans this weekend, Memorial Day weekend used to mean 3 days on TRADEWIND at anchor partying with around 20 other boats. These days it's a stay at home weekend. Race day Sunday with F1, Indy and Charlotte. Maybe fire up the grill on Monday but we're looking at up to 10 inches of rain over the weekend and into next week.

Ahoy! I painted, wired a depth finder, mowed and trimmed two lawns. I walked into a partially opened garage door and drew blood. I quit.
Time to eat.

Re: Where I'm A Going To Go Wednesday @ the MSC
Sheesh Bill and Steve. Hope you'll both be okay.
Took Mom to the eye doctor, she'll be having cataract surgery on both eyes. So much to do to prepare her for it. Paperwork, meds, finances, appointments. My sister and I are kinda overwhelmed with it all, and Mom is trying her best to understand. The glasses she just got 18 months ago are no longer helpful for her sight. Swift change. But today she told the doctor how much she loves her daughters and we make her laugh. That was the best. She also apologized for putting us through all of this. Kinda sad and touching.
Tomorrow Cameron and I will head to the DMV to get the permanent plates for what was his Dad's truck. Sucks.
It's also my sister's 60th birthday tomorrow, and my BIL has to deal with political crap with his job (he's self employed, but has to deal with city and country districts) and can't take her to dinner. I offered to take her to McDonalds for a Happy Meal (it's all I can afford
).
Not sure exactly what it was, but E did NOT have a good day at work, so I'm trying to find a smile for him.
As my Mom still says... "It's always something"..
