Who's Going To Salt Lake City 10/17/2018

I have a ticket, which doesn't necessarily mean I'm going, but in case I do ...
I've only been to SLC to change planes on my way to someplace else, I've never been outside the airport. Any hotel recommendations would be appreciated, especially if there are hotels close to the venue. Thanks

I booked the room we talked about earlier.
Comfort Inn Downtown
171 West 500 South
SLC, UT 84101
The lady on the phone said it's 4-6 blocks to the venue.
With the senior discount, it came to $87.00 per night.
Check in on Tuesday (16th), check out on Thursday (18th).
I also got a pretty good airfare on Delta out of Des Moines.

Are there any pre-concert events in Salt Lake City? We want to get there early if there is.

Does anyone know if there is pre party or parking lot party for the concert tomorrow? I have never been to this venue so I am not sure how big the parking lot is for a parking lot party.
