I deleted the resurrected post - and banned poster. All of their posts looked odd, and that sealed it.


G'morning BN! Up early. Have to leave in a few hours for Mom's cataract surgery. Fingers are crossed. Hopefully she'll remember to NOT eat or drink. We have the staff on alert, and have post-it notes all of the apartment.

Good morning, it looks like it's going to be another nice day. I have to go grocery shopping, then I'm going to stop at the ballpark and redeem another one of my vouchers for 1/2 price Monday tickets (not for today, the Pelicans are playing in Winston-Salem the next 3 days), then I'll have to get outside and do stuff.

The Carolina Country Music Festival ended last night. This was the 4th year they've done it, I went in 2015 and last year, and they haven't had a drop of rain yet. It was hot and humid last year and again this past weekend, the other 2 years it was just hot, but they've lucked out so far. They've also gone from attendance of about 15,000 the first year to over 30,000 the last 2 years, another reason, along with not being a fan of any of the 3 headliners, why I didn't go this year.

Mrs. SPH has been an RN for more than 40 years with the last 18 in Pre-Anesthesia/Pre-Op. I can't tell you how many times she's had this conversation:
"When was the last time you had anything to eat or drink?"
"Nothing since breakfast"
"You were instructed to eat nothing after midnight."
"But it was just breakfast."
"Go home and give us a call about rescheduling your surgery."
or
"When was the last time you had anything to eat or drink?"
"Nothing since last night"
"Do I smell alcohol on your breath?"
"Yeah, but it was just one drink."
"You were instructed to eat or drink nothing after midnight."
"Go home and give us a call about rescheduling your surgery."

She only has 11 more get up and go to work days before she retires and she's found that she has much less patience for stoopid patients.

Thank you, Mr. SPH.. My mother, with dementia, actually did better than those you describe! She's uncomfortable now, and hates the plastic patch.

I've seen pictures on FB about LuLu's, Larry. Looks like things are running well, but hard to know.

September here is nice. Not as nice as now, but nice.

We've been to Maine in Spring, July, August,Sept and October. We just love Maine no matter what the time of year.
