So. I had an interesting call this morning. The "no thank you" email I received on Friday? It wasn't supposed to be sent until the VP I've been speaking with had a chance to talk to me. He was embarrassed and upset with his HR department for sending it when they did. Truth is they had a very hard time with their choice. They all thought I presented well, and has instructed HR to try and find me something in the company, as they think I'd be a good fit with their culture. So, even if they can't find something for me, I told him I realllllly appreciated the call.

You don't have to be a 'foodie', Molly. Just once in a while try a taste of something new. If you like it? Great. If you don't? That's fine, but you tried.

None of us are that adventurous. I hate ordering something no one would eat. My last adventure was ordering wild boar. I might like it but it was too rare for me. I couldn't eat it. I'll stick to salmon and chicken.

Before I retired, whenever we had to work late we would order dinner. One place we ordered from had bison on the menu. I never had bison before and I figured since I wasn't paying for it I'd give it a try. It was really good and whenever we ordered from that place I always had the bison. I tried gator tail a couple of times and it was OK but I don't think I'd have it again. Then there are things that I just won't eat at all, like peanut butter. Or fish.
