Morning Bill & BN.

Having some coffee at the tiki & spending some time with the pup before I head north. Waiting for the morning rush to die down.
I'm usually a procrastinator but everything has been done around the house & I am packed except for a few last min things. Makes me think I'm forgetting something but the tickets & cooler are already in the truck so that's the essentials

G'morning, BN! :)

Not much going on today. E has another day off, and he's going to the gun range to practice again. Then we'll head to our local bar for dinner and drinks.

Good morning.

I'm going to the Pelicans game tonight, they start a 5 game road trip tomorrow so they're having their 4th of July celebration and post game fireworks tonight. This is the 4th year in a row I've gone to either the July 3 or July 4 game and it's usually a sellout crowd. I have to remember to get to the ballpark early or I'll get stuck parking as far away from the entrance as you can get and still be on the property, like I did 3 years ago. They canceled the fireworks that night because it rained. It was coming down so hard, by time I got to my car after the game I was dripping wet as if I had just gotten out of the shower. Tonight's forecast is high 70s and no chance of rain so I won't have to worry about getting wet this year.

Ahoy! I'm waiting for paint to dry on one project and finishing another before I work out in the studio. It's pouring rain. That should cool of the studio. When I power carve wood in the heat, I look like a Zagnut.

Afternoon BN. My work location (and three others) are open tomorrow due to the hot weather we've been having. At the request of the city's emergency management office. We are usually closed on holidays. Those working tomorrow have volunteered to do so.

I'm looking forward to hot dogs, coasters, sand, baseball game and fireworks.

We missed a big storm last night that dumped 4 inches only 13 miles away. We got an inch today, but I was in a paint zone, so it's all good.

They are canceling and postponing fireworks and activities in the area because of incoming storms.

Most everything is cancelled in Colorado due to fire danger. MUCH too dry everywhere.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Potomac Nationals wore their regular uniforms but the Pelicans wore special hats. They usually wear light blue hats with gold brims, tonight they wore solid dark blue and the Pelican head logo had a white head and red bill instead of yellow bill so they had red, white and blue.
