Morning Linda, Lime, Deb & BN.
Getting back to normal around here. Sure have missed my tiki coffee time while watching the pup romp in the yard. Finished laundry & picking up yesterday (even though nine of y'all showed up to help
). The cicadas are chirping extra loud this am so maybe the guessers are right that it's gonna be 94ish today. I don't have to go back to work til Tue so I'm thinking of lounging by the pool.
Happy hump day y'all

Good morning.
Sam Adams has a new beer this year called Sam '76. The Pelicans are doing a promotion where if they win a home game by a score of 7-6 (they haven't won by that score all season), one fan will win free beer for a year. I got to the ballpark last night and I did what I've done at every game this year, I went to guest services and filled out an entry form for the free beer promotion. While I was there one of the employees at guest services, who I've gotten to know over the last 2 seasons, said one of the between innings things they were doing for Woodstock Night was something I'd probably be good at "because you're old so you should know the music from the '60s."
They did a Name That Tune type thing were I had 30 seconds to name 3 songs. I go down on the field with the on field hostess after the first inning, she introduces me to the crowd, asks if I'm ready, I say I am and the music starts. I got the first 2 almost immediately - Joe Cocker, With A Little Help From My Friends and The Beatles, 8 Days A Week. The third one starts and it's a musical intro, no lyrics. I was drawing a blank. Then just as she starts counting down the last 5 seconds, it came to me. The Who, My Generation. I won a $20 gift certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods. I don't play sports anymore, I don't fish, I don't go camping, I don't need anything they sell there. I gave it to some guy who was at the game with a youth baseball team, I figured they could use it for something.

If they had given me a $20 gift certificate to use at the concession stand, I would have been chowing down all night.

Ahoy! I'm back from Cincy. I had a great day painting, but Bern was too sick and ubered back to the hotel. Jamie got his seat. I saw Jimmy Groovy and painted on the young lady seen in 5 O Clock again. I thought I heard Jimmy say"Breast Shark" at the song's end.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

They're doing a new thing at the boardwalk in downtown Myrtle Beach this year, food trucks on Wednesdays. I took a ride to see if they had anything good. Only 3 trucks - fried fish (I don't eat fish), pizza (I wasn't in the mood for pizza) and a third one with unidentifiable stuff (nobody was there).

Headed to MB for my 1st time in Aug. Staying with a friend who has been down before. Remind me to ask you about places to eat/go/see when you come to Bristow cuz I'll probably forget to ask unless I ask earlyLIPH wrote: ↑July 11, 2018 8:14 pm They're doing a new thing at the boardwalk in downtown Myrtle Beach this year, food trucks on Wednesdays.
