Welcome. Not sure about others opinion, but I'm not a fan of covers

If I wanted to hear other peoples songs I would go to other peoples shows.

Less covers, more solo acoustic rarities from the pre-CILCIA albums.

I will say though, his version of Free/Into the Mystic was pretty awesome!

I'll agree.....and I do enjoy Sail on Sailor......of course that's probably my fave Beach Boys tune.
I can put up with ONE COVER per show.....but no more than that please.

Sail on Sailor was awesome in Cincy, loved it. I still enjoy his cover of BEG and he seems to have fun with it along with Southern Cross, but the rest of the show should be his own stuff. I would be happy to see him drop Grateful Dead covers along with Little Martha. He does a nice cover of Glory Days but it shouldn't be a staple, maybe do it in NJ or something.

How about "Put the Lime in the Coconut"??

I've always thought this was a Buffettesque song....
Robert adding some Caribbean rhythms and Nadirah filling in on the harmonies would be primo!

Though I like the covers he usually does and has done.
Like others though. No covers! Just Jimmy songs. He has too many amazing songs. One of the best American song writers ever IMO.

I think he should be allowed one cover per concert and it would be good if he mixed up the tour so it wasn't the same cover every night. It's wonderful that he has made several songs his own, but he has too many great songs of his own to be giving other artists' hits decades of heavy rotation.

LOL. He can do whatever he wants. But I'm in full agreement about hoping for his own songs.

Don't know if these are "covers" or not, but I'd like to have Barefooting and Barstool Boogie.

'Sail On' by the Commodores is one of my favorite songs of all time. I'd love to hear JB sing it, if he hasn't already.

For a different Van Morrison song he could cover, I would suggest "And It Stoned Me."

Two other songs I always wished he would cover are Ride Captain Ride by Blues Image, and Fire Lake by Bob Seger.
