Guessers are calling for possible severe storms here this afternoon.
Getting back into my normal summer off routine....coffee at the tiki while watching the hummingbirds feed & pup wander around. Don't think the weather is going to make for a good pool day so now I have to figure out what I'm getting into.

Morning.. Just got a call from my electrophysiologist this morning. Seems that the past couple of at home pacemaker checks were abnormal and he wants me to come in this afternoon. It's been 5 years since I had it put in so the battery might be going.. I really don't want to have it replaced right now but I might not have a choice..

Son texted from National Guard training in California. He was to be home from his 5-week combat training on Thursday -- orders have been extended until Monday Aug 27. ugh -- it's just way too hot out there (105) for an additional 4 days . Plus his 4 yr old son really misses his daddy

The temperature is only in the 80s and the heat index is below 100 so I think it's time to go for a stroll in the park.

I was starting to sweat so I got out of the heat and had a frosty beverage at a place called the Tuna Shak. I had something called Sweetwater 420 Strain G13 IPA. The weed smell wasn't as strong as The Hemperor and it tastes a little better but that's 2 hemp beers I won't be having again.

and we had cigars with Dad.

Boy, I wish we could have some thunderstorms.... they might wash some of the smoke out of the air.
Then again, as dry as everything is, any lightning would probably just spark even more wildfires.
