Good Morning BN folks!
It's payday for the Ringers and our weather app says it's supposed to be another nice day -- will take it!
Have a fantastic day.

Good morning. High school football starts tonight. For almost 30 years now I have been on top of the press box
at my old high school during home games. My job? Keep people off of the press box that don't belong there and
watch for rowdy fans. It's the best seat in the house.

Sounds like a fun gig...
It is a weekend full of music for me. Got Steve Wariner tonight. Cody Johnson and Pat Green tomorrow night.

I'm betting you are great at your "job"

Then to Gruene to see Van Wilks play and celebrate our 45th wedding Anniversary!
45 years
We had a group of us all get married that summer. We are the only couple that survived.

David Crosby is scheduled to appear in December at a small venue near us.....any thoughts??? He tends to be very politically vocal at his shows so we're unsure.....

A quick hello to anybody who's anybody.
Finally back home and
TRYING to get settled back in after two great back to back getaways- both of which were desperately needed, now it's back to the task of continuing to deal with some ongoing reality, however, I do need to send out a few thank yous to some folks who stepped in and made this past month pretty special for me. You know who you are, and can expect a PM from me in the coming days.
Molly: Congratulations to you and Larry. 45 years. Wow!
That's longer than I've been alive.
Linda: If it were me, I'd pass on seeing Mr. Crosby. Not just because of his turning his concerts into political rallies, but he's become a not-so-nice person, I.M.O.
In addition to snubbing the surviving members of his original band (The Byrds), he openly snubbed Stephen Stills at the end of the CSN show in Paris 3 years ago when, at the end of the show, shook Graham Nash's hand, and when Mr. Stills extended his hand to him, he gave him a dirty look, turned away and walked off the stage. That didn't set well with me.
But yes, some of his music is still really nice- I just wish he'd grow up a bit.

You know -- I was just thinking about you on the way into work this morning. I'm sorry I didn't text you right then to check in.
Thanks for your input......I'll pass it on to Kevin since he's the one who is usually watching the music stuff coming our way

.
Welcome home !!!

Afternoon, pholks, and happy anniversary, Molly & Larry.
Was supposed to head out on the water this afternoon. But as we were pulling away from the dock I accidentally let the stern line fall into the water behind the boat and it got all tangled around the propellor which then promptly seized up.

Fortunately we were still inside the harbor and drifted back toward the dock where several fellow boaters extended helping hands to pull us in. (Every boater we have met has been incredibly kind and generous with us newbies.) Anyhoo, we raised the motor to trailer height and cut the line free. The propeller and drive appear to be undamaged and we were able to change gears and such. But after all that we lost our mojo. So now we're going to meet my sister and her husband for drinks and dinner and we'll head back out tomorrow. I am a bad first mate.

Ahoy! I had a nice flat in my boat. Too bad about your boat, Nancy. The first time I pulled people tubing with my old boat, I backed up over the tow rope and cut it. No harm to my prop, but the tow rope was borrowed, so I bought the owner a new one.
After a bad trip, I came up with a saying about boating. "If I don't get rained on and nothing broke down, I had a good day."
Congratulations, Molly!

Thanks. So all we lost was the line we had to cut and that is WAAAY less expensive then a new propeller or drive.
The hardest part was doing it in front of all these more experienced boaters, and the spectators at the little deck bar that is right there. So embarrassing.

Good saying BP!
Thanks. Alot of miles in the last few years. Couldn't afford to travel much in the early years.
But we can now so we are taking advantage of our retirement years.

Happy anniversary Molly!
Good day on the boat today, no sailing but some much overdue maintenance and repairs completed. It's been a beautiful day for sailing but I resisted the temptation.
