It just poured here, sounded like hail. :o Sun is back out but still hot as ever. Supposed to drop 20 degrees between now and Friday and lose the dang humidity.

You want humidity? Come to Houston. It is a constant.

Humidity doesn't really bother me, but I grew up without air conditioning. Mr. Lime appreciates AC because of his allergies. It's been a struggle for years. LOL

This summer has been unprecedented in terms of heat and humidity. We've had multiple window AC units going for the last few weeks. Mr. Lime is definitely more comfortable but they make so much noise! :x Before this summer we used one window unit for a few days late August one summer out of four. Still not really enough to justify the expense of central air.

Ahoy! I bought Hidden Treasures today. The store clerk said I looked the part with my floral shirt. I said,"Yep, big fan."
Molly, I drove through a storm going to Ringers that had me fearing for my life. These storms are monstrous these days.
Nancy, we had a BIG window unit in the bed room. It rattled! I hated it.

I grew up without a/c either.....and it was H O T.
But if a/c wasn't an option, you lived without it.

No humidity here. :) Temps were back close to 100 today. But dry.

E's at a fly fishing 'class'.

Work was pretty good - doing some monotonous reports. They're behind back to mid-July. I've gotten them caught up to August 17th. :)
2 hour Training tomorrow on how to process payroll/time exceptions when folks don't/can't punch in/out, or special shifts. There's also a huge meeting next week, I have to help with. :)

Food Truck Night was a waste of time. One truck with mostly fish dishes (I don't eat fish), one with pizza that was too expensive so I didn't have any and a 3rd truck with no food, just drinks - smoothies, all kinds of coffee drinks and tea. I left and went to Senor Frog's at Broadway At The Beach. None of their taps were working, only bottled beer. I stayed long enough to have one beer and chat up Vira, the cute bartender who had an eastern European sounding accent.

But you have the lower (shaded) deck of Calamity Cove...
Since upper doesn't have direct sun after 2 pm I'm not sure it will be much cooler down there -- I mean we're talking about 103 -- maybe if it was 30 degrees cooler that would work [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]
Sounds like you need an ice luge to keep ya cool [smilie=whistle.gif]
What’s an ice luge πŸ˜‚

Is it still fabulous?
It was the first big screen movie I ever saw. The scenery was breathtaking for a girl going to school in Lubbock TX

It looked good on the big screen. Not Rodgers and Hammersteins best movie adaptation. Little too long

It had good songs. Mitzi gaynor looked good. The digital restoration was beautiful. I still prefer film but that’s gone for good.
