Trying to dry out SAT @ the MSC

Good Morning Folks.

Lots of waterlogged people here in our area. Massive floods - we had 10.5" of rain in a period of 4 hours. The most water here since the "Agnes" flood in 1972 when that much rain fell in a 24 hour period.

Ringville is OK since we are on a hill but there were lots of rescues, including a school bus full of kids.

Wow, Linda! That's a lot of rain. I just saw the bus on the weather channel.
Good morning BN.

Morning Linda, Bill & BN.

Linda, how far is Manheim from y'all? I recognize the name from visiting you guys. Drone video was sad to see but cool at the same time. Glad I didn't have to bring my ski up [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

We had a storm come through about 4:30. Lots of thunder & lightning but very little rain. It's now cloudy & a little humid.
Had my coffee & went to the grocery store to get stuff for dinner. Passed a yard sale on my way so I stopped but didn't buy anything.

Now what to do with the rest of the day [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Happy 1st day of Sept pholks!

Good morning. I like football and I watch college football all the time but I went to a college that didn't have a football team so I have a lot of angst free Saturdays.

Keeping my PA friends in my thoughts. It was a year ago that Houston was fighting Harvey with 50 inches of rain.

Hiya BN! :)

Me thinks I was tired. We slept till close to 9:30. :o

Mom errands, some shopping for us, and out to an early dinner. Clouds are coming in, and hope for some more rain like yesterday afternoon. :)

Nothing like PA, though. What a mess. Glad the Ringers are okay!

I didn't go to college, but I'm a buckeye born and bred! Lots of angst when Ohio State plays.

I'm watching the Clemson game on TV. The announcers were talking about the QB and they didn't say he has a strong arm or he's an accurate passer. He has "arm talent." That's a new one.

I played football in high school but I wasn't good enough to play in college. One of the reasons I chose the school I went to was because they didn't have a football team. I thought my father would finally stop telling me I should keep playing.

Arm talent....yeah never heard that one either. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ After a 1.5 hr weather delay, we finally finished victorious!!! Watching WV vs TN now, no dog in this fight but its a good game! Next on the schedule is Notre Dame vs That Team Up North (*ichigan) This is the one of the rare times I will be rooting for Notre Dame. Go Irish!

The Beer Den has brewed 2 beers in collaboration with a brewer called Wicked Weed from Asheville, NC. I wanted to try them but the store where I usually shop doesn't have them yet so I had to take a ride about 12 miles north to the closest store that did have them. My Beer Den has 8 beers on tap, this one only has 6. Besides the 2 collaBEERations, as they're calling them, they had 2 others I hadn't tried before so instead of getting pints I had a flight of the 4 beers I hadn't tried yet. Four 4 oz. glasses, now that I'm home I can have another beer and not get fit shaced. The 2 collaboration beers were OK but I don't know if I would go out of my way to have them again.

We will always have it.. all message boards do. But they're gone now. I banned a few earlier, that I know would be spam, before they got to post anything. Unfortunately we can't be here 24 hours a day, and they like to post when we're all sleeping.
