The governor declared a state of emergency ahead of the hurricane getting here. The next update from the National Hurricane Center was supposed to be at 5:00, maybe I'll turn on the weather channel and see what they have to say.

The latest forecast from the local guy showed the "cone of uncertainty" covering just about the entire South Carolina coast and about 1/3 of North Carolina so right now they really have no clue where Florence is going. He also said the governors of North Carolina and Virginia have declared states of emergency too.

The Buies Creek Astros swept Winston-Salem in the southern division playoffs so they'll be playing for the Carolina League championship next week. Unless the league does what it did last year and cancels the championship round because of Florence. There was a storm coming up the coast last year too so they canceled the playoffs after the northern and southern division championships were over and had co-champions.

So, today was Mom shopping day. She didn't need much. Was in 'okay' spirits. Laughed a little, and complained a little. My sister took her for a real hair cut this week (even tho there's a salon at the facility, she cuts her own and says she doesn't like the place).

Afterwards E and I went to Colorado brewery #124, and they were pretty good. Of the 4 we tasted, I only didn't care for 1. Wasn't terrible, just didn't love it.



Then we went to dinner to one of our favorite places downtown Denver. Brewery/Bar/Restaurant. Yum. Good food, we had pepperoni/sausage pizza. We brought a few slices home.
