Mucky MON @ the MSC

Good Morning -- "Mucky" is my version of yucky ... more rain here again. But, its off to work we go. At least it's not wet at the courthouse. Well, actually, it probably is. For at least 5 years the HVAC team hasn't been able to control the temperature & humidity levels on our floor. So, many times all our papers are curled up when we arrive in the morning - the furniture even feels wet

But, it's a job

Good morning Linda and BN. I had a hot art room. With windows opened, it was in the 80's in winter! I quit wearing dress shirts and ties because of that.

Good morning, Linda, Bill, & BN.
Rain is on the way but better during the work week than on the weekends.
Have a wonderful Monday!

G'morning Linda, Bill, and Nancy!
Sunny and looking hot (in or close to the 90's) all week.
Tired. Need to sleep more.

But off to work I go.

Morning BNers
Suppose to be under a flood watch....ugh. No rain yet but I'm sure it is coming.
Oh well, our yard needs the rain.

Good afternoon.
The weather guy on one of the local TV stations gave 3 different scenarios for Florence. The best outcome would be if the storm moved north and headed for the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The most likely has it making landfall somewhere near Wilmington, which is about 80 miles north of here. We would still have a lot of rain and some pretty high wind. He said there's still a 15-20% chance it could move to the south, which would s*** for us.

Just pay attention, be prepared and be careful.

Hey Larry - our go to "no hype" weather guys did a short blurb on Florence at the bottom of this post. I usually don't get too worried about weather until Eric and Matt get worried about it. There have been a couple of times when they have been off but most of the time, they are pretty spot on with their predictions.
I told Shannon if they say anything else, I would let her know.

Evening BN.
Had mandatory training today. I was not looking forward to it just because my calendar said I was still on vaca til tomorrow

. It was 'active shooter' training that taught us what to do if we were ever in that real life situation. I actually learned quite a bit. We then got to go through a shoot/don't shoot simulator that the deputies train on - that was cool!
The center was a buzz with talk of Florence. I work Sat/Sun/Mon but the Fri shift will be at minimum staffing so I told them I would work morning shift to help out. Vaca is over so I might as well start sucking up the ot
Will make sure the fridge is stocked with the essentials (beer & rum!) so that I will make it through this back to work & nasty weather weekend!

Yea my weekend rotation is this weekend. So right now the worst is to the south. Direct hit in Jersey is slim but I’m sure what’s left of it will hit us.

Thanks Molly!
Edit: Our shifts had a mtg with the big boss after training today for him to tell us of a significant raise we are getting. The bad news, he ended the mtg with talk of Florence & added for us to bring a sleeping bag this weekend
