Re: Finally Friday@ the MSC
So - for those of you who don't do FB, I have a few updates that make me pretty happy. One about me. One about Mom.
MOM - from the Memory Care Directory: Sharon is doing very well! She is eating sooo much better, she was sitting at the table with a huge bowl of fresh fruit! Still stand offish, but getting involved in the activities. I took her water to her and visited with her about her new apartment, she still upset about the fridge.
Tooth brushing is done with caregivers as long as it is on the care plan. (Mom has forgotten to do this daily) I will have to look at hers to see what is on hers.
Hair and nails can be done with the salon still. They go to the Memory Care Salon and when they have adjusted more they can go to the AL salon if they prefer.
Sharon is actually doing much better than I thought she was going to do! I am pleasantly surprised! The Seroquel is probably helping as well!

ME:
Tomorrow marks my 2 month work anniversary! It's gone by fast. Still a lot I don't know, but every day I learn something new. I was working on a new project for my boss #2 today. I completed it in about 90 minutes. Then she assigned me something else (new), and I got it done in about 30 minutes. She was having some lunch in her office with another co-worker in the Admin department (and I interact with him, as well). I went in to the office to put the report I finished, and they both said, "We were just talking about you, and how amazing you are"! I quietly said a sincere "Thank you"!! They both simultaneously said, "No, thank YOU"!!! I sure needed that! After 16 months of no job, and my confidence going downhill, that was a great boost!!
