The oldest worker is 82. She has spent most of the last year staying with her mother at a senior high rise at night. Her mother is 104!springparrot wrote: ↑November 6, 2018 7:29 pmMy Mother did that in 3 states. She loved those days.bodypainter wrote: ↑November 6, 2018 7:38 am Good morning Steve and Linda. Re: Time to Vote TUES @ the MSC
G'evening all.
E and I dropped off our ballots a few weeks ago, and within a few days, the damn calls stopped.
A pretty quiet day at work, which was nice. Some of the nurses have been reluctant to change with my requiring them fill out forms correctly when they miss a time clock punch. But I have been watching their day to day hours and have been proactive when they've missed a punch, and getting it corrected before the pay period ends, and they're short paid on their checks. And it's not corrected till the NEXT paycheck. I got several thank you's today.
They're coming round..
Dreading (yes, my sister and I sometimes do) the trip to see Mom. Never know what 'Mom' will be there. I picked up a few things she needed. I didn't see her anywhere when they let me in, so I went back to her room. She wasn't there. (And the neatness is SO much better now, and the caregivers do a great job at keeping it that way for her). I was just about to walk in and I hear there, "I think I know you" giggle giggle. "Yes, I think you do"!!
I actually got a genuine hug (it's been probably a year). I put some tissues in her bathroom, and came back out to the kitchen area where I was dropping two food items off. She pretty much only likes chicken soup, and Silk vanilla soy yogurt. The place has ordered 2 cases of soup, but they can't get the yogurt. I showed it to her, and it made her very happy, as she had run out from what my sister brought her on Friday. At least she's eating, and they try and serve her other things, but she's gotten very picky. As I did that, she walked behind me, and said, "I'm watching a movie", and went back with the group.
As I was about to leave, I didn't see her, but she was walking toward me from the bathroom. I gave her another hug, and she hugged back AGAIN!! When I was walking down the hallway, she said, "Say hi to my grandson".
All in all, a successful visit. Staff say she's been doing well this week. I'll take it.

Re: Time to Vote TUES @ the MSC
Bryan voted on his way to work this morning, i was off so I did some stuff around the house, went to vote, went to the local meat market, filled up my car on 10 cents off Tuesday, came home, spruced up the place for a showing tomorrow and we are getting ready to head to bed so I can get up and mop the floors AGAIN because the dogs have tracked mud all over since I mopped on Sunday. Gotta love having 2 big dogs. I am whipped.

Looks like the big race for Senate is over. Beto put up a good fight but isn't getting enough votes.

In Nevada they elected a dead pimp, in Texas they re-elected Ted Cruz.... I think Nevada got the better deal.
