Yep, we're 33 this morning. Tomorrow in the teens and snow. Then back to the 40's and 50's the rest of the week.

Good morning and Happy Birthday USMC.
Yesterday the weather guy said if you liked cold weather you would like this weekend. It's 59 degrees, that 's not cold.

Up early this morning, had to clean up and mop again as we have a noon showing. They are obviously NOT football fans! So now I'm in the car with the big hairy beasts and Bryan listening to JB until we kick off at noon. Got the game recording so we can watch later. Thanks to all the service men and women for their sacrifice and service. Go Bucks!!!

Just checked- temperature here is 22, wind chill of 15, yet a couple months ago I bought a ticket to go to the Iowa/Northwestern football game today. (Normal temps for this time of year is upper 40โs/lower 50โs). I bought the ticket because today is military appreciation day at the game. Veterans and active military get in for half price, park free, and 20% off all concessions.
I hope they have lots of hot chocolate.

Cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. (I live just outside of Iowa City-about a 30 minutes drive to the University).melon59 wrote:

I wonโt need a flask for the hot chocolate, but a funnel.
The gang Iโm going with have been there and tailgating since 7 AM. Kickoff is still 3 and a half hours away. Iโll leave my 80-plus degree house in about two hours and go join those idiots.

I remember tailgating several years ago at the horseshoe when we were playing Iowa. Met some really great Hawkeye fans in the lot. Hope you have a great time at the game, but we have a really good friend who was a NW grad, so in his memory we are pulling for his alma mater. RIP Jeff!Wino you know wrote: โNovember 10, 2018 12:14 pmCheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. (I live just outside of Iowa City-about a 30 minutes drive to the University).melon59 wrote:

Iowa Hawkeye players will be wearing #24 on their helmets today.
That was the uniform number of Nile Kinnick- only Heisman Trophy winner to ever play for Iowa. He left college and enlisted in the Army Air Corps during WW II. His plane was shot down in 1943 over the English Channel, his body never found.
The stadium is named Nile Kinnick Stadium in his honor, as is the elementary school at the Naval Base in Yokosuka, Japan, where I was stationed from 1971-1974 and from 1976-1978.
The Air National Guard of Iowa will be doing a flyover for him prior to kickoff.

Happy Saturday afternoon BN!!
Mike and Colleen (mrgoldenhair and sistergoldenhair) and Bill (body painter) got to Ringville yesterday afternoon. Lots of catching up last night. After breakfast this morning we headed to downtown Lancaster to visit our indoor farmers market and a local brewpub. Was it ever cold and SUPER windy. Now hanging out (and sone napping) before heading out at 4 for pre Mac Mcannly show dinner.
