We made it to Victoria and home safely. Expected the traffic to be worse but we kept moving. As usual, lunch was great and nice to see the kids and their kids.
I miss having leftovers. ;)

I worked today so some other people could have their holiday dinner with family (the time-and-a-half holiday pay doesn't hurt none, either).

But don't feel sorry for me; after I got done I stopped at my favorite neighborhood dive-bar/roadhouse/restaurant/dance hall/music venue — it ain't Captain Tony's place on Duval Street, but it'll do — out on the Island where I had a couple of 'adult beverages' to wash down the free "WE ARE THANKFUL FOR OUR CUSTOMERS" turkey dinner they spread out for their regular patrons every year.

Hanging out in the electric roaster? You or the turkey? ;)
