Last Nov. SUNDAY @ the MSC
This is it folks -- the last Sunday of November. Weren't we just in July ???
We had torrential downpours and flash flooding (again) in our area last night. Looks like the sun is trying to show its face now -- YAY!

Re: Last Nov. SUNDAY @ the MSC
Good morning. It's a little cool out but it's a bright sunshiny day. I should have done laundry yesterday when it was raining.
I saw a highlight video from a college football game yesterday, Mississippi was playing Mississippi State. Mississippi scored a touchdown on the last play of the 3rd quarter and a fight broke out. Both benches emptied. After they got everything calmed down and the players went back to their respective benches, the referee went to midfield and said "after the play we have unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on every player from both teams." Most big time college football programs have 100 or more players on the roster so that's more than 200 penalties.
I guess he did that because if you get 2 unsportsmanlike penalties you get ejected from the game. If anything broke out in the 4th quarter they'd just start throwing players out of the game.

Good!!
Sunny skies, but we had snow overnight. Just a couple of inches. Powdery kind. Not going anywhere today. "Brinner" for our dinner meal. Eggs, hash browns, pancakes, sausage and bacon.

The downpours made it up to Vacationland. No flooding, thank goodness.

Had an early showing today, then went and cut down our tree. Just finished the decorating, well most of it. I still need to hang the garland and stockings on the banister. But I'm done for today! 2 glasses of Moose Milk while decorating has made me warm, fuzzy and full.

Re: Last Nov. SUNDAY @ the MSC
Nope, not eggnog. Moose milk is like a frozen mudslide on steroids!!! SO yummy and we only have it during the Christmas season so it's a special treat. The original recipe makes a huge quantity for a punch bowl. Great for a party! But we have cut the proportions down to a manageable pitcher!lime rickie wrote: ↑November 25, 2018 6:33 pmWhat's 'moose milk'? I've never had Moose Milk but I've had Moose Drool. It's a brown ale from the Big Sky Brewing Co. In Missoula, MT.

I've hunted moose. I never wanted any part of their drool.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

It calls for Rum, Creme de Cocoa, Kahlua, milk, half n half. You drizzle the glass with choc syrup, put in a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, pour the Moose milk over the ice cream and top with freshly grated nutmeg.

I’m not a chocolate “person” but I’m guessing for those that are this is heavenly.melon59 wrote: ↑November 25, 2018 7:03 pmNope, not eggnog. Moose milk is like a frozen mudslide on steroids!!! We really love it, and you could skip the chocolate drizzle and it would still be amazing! You could even use a different liqueur for the creme de Cocoa if you wanted. Frangelico or Amaretto perhaps...yum either way I'm sure!Saltx3 wrote: ↑November 25, 2018 9:16 pmI’m not a chocolate “person” but I’m guessing for those that are this is heavenly.melon59 wrote: ↑November 25, 2018 7:03 pmNope, not eggnog. Sounds tasty. I could only have a bite or two, and I'd be done. Don't have a big sweet tooth, and it'd be tooo much dairy for my tummy.melon59 wrote: ↑November 25, 2018 7:03 pm Nope, not eggnog. There aren't too many people out there who don't like chocolate. I love it, but in very small quantities. I'm just curious what about it that you don't like?

Re: Last Nov. SUNDAY @ the MSC
So, today I didn't accomplish too much. I folded laundry while sitting on the bed. Call to doctor tomorrow figure out what's next with my back. It keeps 'popping' (and E can hear it), and I can barely walk in the morning.
But we had a tasty 'brinner' for dinner. My favorite foods.
Call from Mom tonight. (Thank goodness she doesn't have her own phone anymore. I don't miss the 5-20 calls a day).
1) New underwear would be greatly appreciated. I asked where they were going? I don't know. Well, be careful cause I've sent 30+ pairs in 2 months. More will be there tomorrow. "Oh, okay, thank you!". (actually sounded pretty good).
2) Need tissues. Reminded her there are 4 boxes under her sink, so she should be fine.
3) Would like more Skittles. Told her if she has eaten the entire bag I brought on Thursday, she's eaten too many, and we won't get any more. Yet.
4) "You're not gonna like this".. said she was throwing up after eating fruit when she got back to PeakView on Thursday. Told her it's not the fruit, she probably just ate WAY too much at Thanksgiving dinner. You're fine now. "I hope so".
5) Has to go "upstairs now to go to bed, and it's cold". Reminded her that the room was very warm when we were there a few days ago, and she'll be fine. It's plenty warm. (Her room USED to be upstairs from the 'common areas', and that's all she relates it to).
Overall she didn't really SOUND bad, just the usual complaints.
