Hey Griswold, where do you expect to put a tree that big?

Happy December all. Christmas is always fun and my son will be turning 1 on the 29th :)

Good month for sure. I do wish they would release Christmas Island on vinyl. I know Tis the Season is out there but it doesn’t compare to the original imo

Hey guys!

As soon as the frost melts I will be placing Christmas lights on our front yard bushes 😀

This is the only Saturday this month that there’s nothing in our schedule.

It's my Sat to work, but we only have 1 order so far, so I will be trying to find something to keep myself busy. Then I'll go home and start cleaning (again) as we have a showing tomorrow afternoon. Then I'll probably wrap the last of the gifts I have and then watch my buckeyes play at 8:00. Anything after last weeks win is pure icing on my cake!

Morning BNers 8)

We are going to Austin today. If any of you have been to Threadgills, they are closing tonight. Rent is too high, so they decided to close.. Threadgills is an Austin tradition and their beer garden is a venue that everyone as played.
They are having 2 sessions today for those that want to say good bye to the venue. 😔 Our friend, Van Wilks is playing this afternoon.

So, one last meal (chicken livers and fried okra for me) and one last musical event....

Good morning. We have rain in the forecast for the next 3 days. It hasn't started yet but it's a really dreary looking morning. I think I'll do laundry and drink coffee.

Since it's December 1, I'm going to start drinking the beers from my 12 DAYS OF BREWS sampler pack. There were 12 circles on the top of the box numbered 1-12. Anal retentive freak that I am, I took them out and put them in the fridge in numerical order. I'll have #1 today, then one/day for the next 11 days.

Larry - you inspired E to go to the liquor store and do the same. :D

Sorry for the closing, Molly. Hope you have a good time. :) I'll pass on sharing your meal, tho. ;)

We're running to the storage unit to get Christmas stuff. It's the first time in several years I wanted to put the tree up. It's time. :)

Hi All,

Ran into a small issue with the Christmas lights last night.

I got hold of one of those solar powered laser devices that project random green and red dots everywhere. I duly pointed at the front of the house, in particular the window and wall of the main bedroom.

The bedroom has plantation shutters which we close at night to keep out headlight wash, so bug-a-lugs here think all good, low powered laser, wooden louvres, perfect!!

Except, not perfect. The el cheapo basswood timber and paint aren't exactly opaque to lasers!
The glow meant one could almost read in the bedroom!

A redesign of the lighting layout is underway.

I have no idea what Fried chicken livers and fried okra is.

I mean I know what chicken livers are and what okra is but not when put together.

(Both ingredients are somewhat difficult to source here, but I do know where I can get them)

Recipe anyone?

They are fried separately and served with a white gravy for dipping. I got a to go box and he gave me an extra serving of gravy...Mmmmm
I wonder since this is their last big day, they were trying to get rid of it. ;)
They are serving brunch tomorrow.

If those were my choices for a last meal, I'd die a hungry man.

Sounds like some of us are busy, some are relaxing and others are doing a little of both.

I didn’t get all the outside lights placed. After the frost melted it was beautiful as I did normal Saturday stuff. Come home and started inside decorating. Bad choice. It’s been pouring for 3 hrs. I did get the lighted garland around the lamppost but that’s it.

Kevin’s not feeling well so he went to bed at 4:30. Wonder how long he’ll sleep :o

I never heard of this beer before, or the brewer. Nice tart flavor with a hint of cherries. I liked it but I didn't like it enough to look for it again.

I don't really care for beer and flavored beers just sound weird.
