Bicycle Bill wrote: January 8, 2019 3:53 am Interesting question... if you've gone to a concert at Alpine Valley and you realize that you are in no condition to drive safely, can the venue legally force you to leave?  Or can you 'sleep it off' in your vehicle in the parking lot until later the next morning?

Or do they have to offer you a "Safe Ride", sponsored by the Wisconsin Tavern League, someplace else ... like your home — or more likely, a motel nearby?  And what if there ain't any motels available?

My group and I usually chill out in the parking lot for about an hour or so before we actually leave. We let the parking lot empty out a little bit, have some food, drink some water. The security there never really give us a hard time about doing that after the show

Does anyone know of any bus service did go out of either Rockford, Chicago, or Milwaukee?

It is nice to see Alpine has already matched last year's season with 5 concerts so far. Jimmy, Hootie and 3 Phish.

I hope Alpine can have a healthy 10 show schedule, but I have my doubts.

So, who else is going?

It has been a little quiet on here considering tickets went on sale Friday.

So to bring this back up, are there any non-drivers attending with advice on how to get there and get home?

Haha, I called and they shut me down immediately. Got a hotel about 8 miles away, and I’m hoping they have a shuttle. Otherwise, it looks like Lake Geneva has a bus or something? Might move my reservation to somewhere there!

Alpine's schedule keeps growing. DMB are playing 7/5-6.

Alpine now has 8 concerts.

Nice to see Alpine having more shows this summer. Wonder if more are going to be announced or if that's it for the year

FTR, my crew is staying in a place in Lake Geneva and capitalizing on the bus service, seemed too good to pass up! Should have around 8 going. So pumped!

FYI — MOTOR COACH TO ALPINE VALLEY
INCLUDES GENERAL ADMISSION LAWN TIX

First, in the interest of full disclosure, I have absolutely nothing to do with this.  I am merely posting this information for the benefit of any Parrotheads in the western WI/southeast MN/northeast IA area who would maybe like to go and find that something like this is the only option open to them.

Radio station KQEG 102.7 FM ('The Eagle') appears to have gotten together with TicketKingLaCrosse.com with regards to a bus trip to the Jimmy Buffett concert at Alpine Valley on July 20 2019.  Cost is $169.00 (plus $7.95 processing fee) and includes motorcoach from La Crosse WI to the concert and back, as well as one general admission lawn ticket.  MUST HAVE A SMART DEVICE TO PULL UP TICKETS ON.

What few details that are available as well as the order form can be found HERE.  If I find out anything more, such as time of departure, whether or not any pre-concert party time is included (although it certainly doesn't sound like it!), or whether you can BYO refreshments on the bus, I will try to update this.

My honest opinion is that you could probably do better — FAR better! — elsewhere, but again, I'm putting this up for informational purposes only.  I do not have any personal or business connection with the radio station itself (other than the fact that I listen to it) or the ticket reseller, TicketKingLaCrosse.com.
