Good morning Linda and Nancy. I love this snowless winter. The board is getting busy with tours. Time to make plans for the summer. Come on Jimmy! Post more dates!

Good morning. It's like a broken record around here with the weather - low 60s, overcast, chance of rain. Last night on the 11:00 news the weather guy said the first 3 days of the year the temperature was in the 60s and today and tomorrow are supposed to be the same. The first 5 days of last year, it was 30 degrees colder.

Good morning, all. Had to call in sick to work today. Didn't sleep, sniff, cough, sneeze, blow. And repeat 87 times.
But I'm enjoying the quiet time. Doing a little laundry. And might try and snooze a little later, if the pooches let me.

Up early again as our heatwave here continues. Another 100°F day today.
Apparently there is a southerly cold front due this afternoon and tomorrow is supposed to top out at 74°. By comparison today at 06:30 it was already 77°.
For the first time ever we ran the A/C overnight.
Oh well back out to the shed to get stuff done before it gets meltingly hot. I am looking forward to a beer this afternoon as the cold front arrives.

Ahoy! I brought the new boat home. I ran every worse case scenario with trailering a boat, except one. Will it fit under the door? The motor sits so high, I had to edge it close to the door to measure. There was an inch clearance!
The boat is snuggled in it's stall for winter.

Wow. A Yammie jet leg. Nice.
I assume you run in shallows and sand bars a lot.
Experimented with the first of the Suzuki jets outboards, waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in the late 70s or early 80s. We were using them in the surf on 15 or 16 foot RHIBs.
They went like the clappers but had two weaknesses - cavitation in whitewater so you lost all power (which can literally be deadly in big surf) and plastic bags (again deadly in the break). Tons of fun though.
Did some big rescues with them and the inboard jet boats we used to run. Like these ones:
