Pittsburgh 2019
Anyone heard anything? I have a suspicion he is going to skip us again this year like in 2017. The 2018 turnout was disappointing.

Re: Pittsburgh 2019
Was turnout really that disappointing?
I always thought of Burgettstown, PA as one of the hotbeds of Parrothead fandom, in a rung just below Cincinnati, Atlanta and Mansfield/New England.
Still, I would be surprised if he skips it ... looks like since 2000, the Pittsburgh area has only been skipped once (2017)?

The Steel City Fins threw a party anyway in 2017. We had a ball!
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Re: Pittsburgh 2019
Pittsburgh was definitely a hotbed for years but(like many venues) started losing people when parking lots went from Noon... to 2... to 3... to 3:30... etc. Then last year was announced with the super-early lot time(and a SATURDAY!) and everyone got excited thinking we'd be back to the old days. But I don't think the show was even close to a sellout then they had the whole entrance-gate fiasco which the media picked up on. Hate saying it but I think Star Lake is going the way of being one of the those venues that Jimmy may only play once every 2-3 years.PeoriaTom wrote: ↑January 17, 2019 1:07 pm Was turnout really that disappointing?I always thought of Burgettstown, PA as one of the hotbeds of Parrothead fandom, in a rung just below Cincinnati, Atlanta and Mansfield/New England.

Re: Pittsburgh 2019
Lets be honest.....pavilion pricing with fees is coming in at nearly $175 per.
Rounding up 8-10 thousand die hard fans willing to pay that much year after year is just getting harder & harder to come up with.
Hopefully the 'Burgh will get its show.
