I'm sure most of you have already heard this song, but I just discovered it. Pour me a Vacation by Great Divide. It starts off "Barmaid play me some Buffett..." It's great! If I was as skilled as St. Somewhere and some of you others I would put a link in here so you could all hear it, but sadly I'm not. Hmm.. try to listen to it if you can somehow, it's great!!

The Great Divide is a really great band. They come from Oklahoma, and were/still are big onthe bar circuit around Oklahoma State University. While "Pour Me a Vacation" is obviously a great song, if you're into some good, driving country music, Great Divide is definitely worth checking out.
If you're interested, the CD with "Pour Me a Vacation" is called "Break in the Storm" (available at all the usual online places). And if you really want to check them out, here's a link to their upcoming tour schedule.

Hey, phjrsaunt, yes I will be at Nissan. I got shut out on tickets to start with so, unfortunately, I had to go the eBay route. But I didn't get raked over the coals too badly, so I'm psyched for that. I'm getting married two weeks later, so it'll be my last show as a single man!
To Migration Man, my computer is older than dirt, so I don't have a CD burner. But I'll see if I can get my fiancee to make an mp3 of Pour Me a Vacation and post it somewhere. But I make no promises.
