Who's going to Virginia Beach on 8/3/2019?

Going to VA Beach for the first time. Any recommendations as to where to stay? We were thinking about staying an extra day or two for some beach time. Thanks for any input.

Anywhere down by the beach is good. South end is more fun & lively.
We went the last 2 times he payed there - good spot for a show. s*** for tailgating. They didn't open lots until 4 or 5. Even with a couple miles of cars lined up. We were towards the front (there at Noon like for a normal show) & pulled chairs out on sidewalk & drank.

I hate to hear about the shape of tailgating in VA Beach. We have tickets, but still debating selling and going to a more tailgate friendly show.

Anyone need tickets? I have two in section 103 Row S for face ($145 each). Sorry to post here but having a challenge finding an admin to open a VA Beach thread in Ticket Exchange.
