Wastin' Away SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. I waste a lot of time, but Sunday is my peak day.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Hello Bill and all others stopping in!
Looks beautiful outside. Grandson Austin still sleeping (much to our surprise) so it looks like late church service to us.
Today Kevin will be starting to brew the Parrotfest beers
. I think it’s time to sort through all our tailgate and party supplies and get a “to buy” list started.

Morning Linda. I've been wandering craft stores to get ideas and to see colorful stuff. I have some drawings to do before I start on door prizes for Parrotfest. I may draw today, unless I can talk myself out of it.

Good morning. Yesterday's high temperature was 69. It's 44 and overcast now and there's a chance of rain. I think I'll do laundry and drink coffee.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I've been a hockey fan for more than 50 years. I'm a NY Islanders fan but I don't get to see too many of their games so I've been watching the Carolina Hurricanes, I get their games on my cable system. The Hurricanes started doing this thing after they win a home game, the whole team stays on the ice and they do a celebration. They do something different after each win. This was last night's celebration.

Re: Wastin' Away SUNDAY@ the MSC
Well....the buyer for our house couldn't get their financing approved, so they backed out. So, we in turn had to cancel our contract for the house we wanted to purchase. We have about a month left on the contract to sell with our realtor, but since this is the 2nd time this has happened, and we have done all repairs in order to pass inspection, we have decided that unless we get an offer for full asking price and 30 days after closing (so we can find a new place) we are just not going to move at this point. We will continue to clean out the junk that needs to go, and we will continue to enjoy our house, pool table and hot tub! Now, we just need to put some things back that have been packed away for the past 4 to 5 months, and leave some stuff packed to donate. At least I feel like I can reclaim my home and begin actually living here again.

Okay, that was great!!
G'morning. Off to the grocery store for a few things. New bed is scheduled to arrive between 1:00-4:00. Old bed has everything stripped, and being laundered.

Afternoon BNers
It is NASCAR Daytona day!!!!!
I haven't been watching much NASCAR for the last few years and there are so many new, young drivers.
Just hope it is a safe race.

Re: Wastin' Away SUNDAY@ the MSC
We had our customer appreciation dinner at Daytona a couple weeks ago. Could not believe how big that place was; grandstand, motorhome lots, garages, etc..
Snow, snow and more low snow here today. Snowed in with our grandson. We’ve been on a couple snow expedition hikes, made a few snowmen, threw snow balls, ate snow, caught snowflakes on our tongues, came inside and had waffles.
Had to break the news to Mom and Dad he’s not missing them in the least.
Also, can’t make up behavior like this: https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/ ... 623367.php.

Ahoy! I had pizza and beer, a nap, a haircut and I drew. I haven't drawn for months. I have twenty ink pens and one pencil. I sketch all outlines in pencil first. There are pencils in a bag somewhere in my studio, but I wasn't motivated to go outside. After all, I had a pencil.
Tammy, sorry about the house deal. Sounds like you can make the most of it.

The new bed is here! The flannel sheets we have worked just fine! But the summer sheets we have? Nope. None will fit. The mattress pad fit, but it needs replacing. The underside is showing wear after I washed it today. We ordered a new one today. So we're good for a few months yet with the flannels. It's 7" taller, and the support is amazing.
