Hey everyone,
I have a question for the group. What is it like seeing back to back shows? I am going to do it this year. First in my hometown of Toronto then three days later in Detroit. Now I am excited about the tailgating in Detroit, I am worried about the same show that close together. I am hoping that the tailgate will pump me up for it. Any thoughts about this? Have you done it? What was it like?
Thank you.

Great! Each venue is different with it's own vibe and energy. The days do blur together. I catch myself thinking about the last show while at the next. I'd attend as many back to back I could. It just didn't work out this year.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

You get out what you put into it and make of it.

I've been to back to back shows several times over the years. It's better if you're going to the second show with a different group of people than the first one. If it's pretty much the same group, I've found they get tired of me before the second tailgate is even close to over.

Re: Two shows back to back?
I have done several shows a year for the last few years and it's amazing. I attend my 'home venue' due to the distance (about an hour away) even though the tailgating isn't what it used to be. I travel the East Coast to see the wonderful phriends I've made along the way.

What everyone else said
A few years back my husband & I did 3 shows in 7 days -- it was exhausting but AMAZING. We just haven't had the opportunity to do it again.

Each Venue is a new experience. As for the set list , it will be pretty much the same , except for a few changes.

I've done it about 7 or 8 times. Mostly Jones Beach on Thursday into Great Woods on Saturday.
Lots of fun. I have to admit I'm getting old and would like more than 24 hours of recovery time. Lol
Different people, different vibe Love both places
Idk if this is on topic or not but..... Lol lol
I can brag about something most people can't
I saw Jimmy close at Bethel with AFTER THE GOLD RUSH
The next concert I saw was Neil Young also at Bethel and his opening song was AFTER THE GOLD RUSH
So, I have the rare distinction of seeing the same song twice in a row. I also turned an unassisted triple play in 1991
After these two tidbits I'm a complete loser in life. Lol lol
Finz Up.

Re: Two shows back to back?
A couple years ago we did Red Rocks on a Thursday night then Vegas Saturday night. We always have plans for the Vegas show and already had a 7am flight Friday morning booked. Then later in the year he announced a Red Rocks show and we weren't about to miss that chance. We went straight from Red Rocks to a DIA area hotel after the show, got a few hours sleep, landed early in Vegas and hit the pool for coffee then bloody marys. It was an awesome weekend.
