Minneapolis Rumor

The Fall Tour rumors continue to come in: an unconfirmed rumor mentions Jimmy Buffett will be performing in Minneapolis on Nov 10, at the Target Center.

Fall Tour Rumors

The following is a list of rumored shows for an upcoming Fall Tour (November/December) to promote the new CD. Please note that these are not official dates and they are subject to change, the details are still being worked on with the venues. Tickets will probably go onsale either Sept 22nd or Sept 29th.

Boston – Fleet Center
New York – Madison Square Garden
Toronto – Air Canada Center
Nashville – TBA
Indianapolis – Conseco Field House
Chicago – United Center
Atlanta – Philips Arena
Tampa – Ice Palace
Las Vegas – MGM or Thomas Mack Ctr UNLV

Other possible tour dates that may be added later include Miami, New Orleans, Seattle, and San Francisco.

Note: there’s a lower possibility of shows in Boston, Chicago, and Indianapolis because of the upcoming tour in September.

Brooks & Dunn Mention Buffett

An article in today’s Boston Globe, “Dynamic duo takes country by storm” mentions Jimmy:

Despite the impressive sales, Brooks & Dunn are not sitting back and taking it easy. They know that someday there may be a life after radio play and record-label attention, so they’re pouring energy into their stage act, having seen that approach work wonders for post-radio artists such as Jimmy Buffett. “Buffett is one guy we talk about a lot,” says Dunn

Buffett to play corporate gig in Orlando?

I don’t know if this is true, but check it out: The One and Only Jimmy Buffett at the House of Blues

If you were at Agility 2000, you know what an incredible show this is. How often are you offered a chance to repeat a Once in a Lifetime experience? Don’t miss this! This performance is offered exclusively to Agility 2001 Attendees and their Registered Guests!

The date of the Buffett show is October 1. If this is true, I doubt the rumored show in Las Vegas would take place that last weekend in September.

Buffett Concert & Trip Contest

From Scott French: I just was in my local Kroger grocery store and heard Buffett’s name over “KRGR-Kroger Radio” (I know!). Anyway, they announced that at http://www.krgr.com/ they are giving away 5 all-expense paid trip to see Jimmy in Boston. I just hit the site and the home page is all Jimmy stuff and some pretty neat photos of Buffett. Must be 21, entries must be in by Aug 8.
