Welcome to Fin Land Tour hits Boston Area

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band continued the “Welcome to Fin Land” tour last night at the Comcast Center in Mansfield MA (Boston).

The set list from the show is now available along with comments from those who listed to the show on Radio Margaritaville.com.

Buffett spent the day in Boston on Saturday at the parade celebrating the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins. He spend all day (actually about six minutes) rewriting the lyrics for the song “Boat Drinks” (download here) to include several references to the Bruins.

The set list included five songs from the album “A White Sport Coat & A Pink Crustacean”, including “Cuban Crime Of Passion” (last played Sept 2, 2010 in Bristow, VA) and “They Don’t Dance Like Carmen No More” (last played Sept, 1, 2008 in Bristow, VA).

The Sun Chronicle has a review of last night’s show: “Buffett salutes B’s at Comcast

Jimmy Buffett leaves nothing to chance, he knows how to play the crowd and is so tuned in to his audience, especially here in New England.

So it was to no one’s surprise that Buffett shuffled onto stage Saturday night, wearing a “spoked-B” Boston Bruins’ T-shirt with the “uffett” coincidentally stitched next to the B.

A video of the NHL Stanley Cup championship parade in Boston, with Buffett wearing a Bruins “sweater” of course in the crowd – pure Buffett, that’s why everyone loves the guy.

The tour continues on Tuesday June 21st with a show at the First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA.
