Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band brought the Workin’ n Playin’ tour to the Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque, NM last night.
The set list from the show is now available. Buffett and the band played 23 songs including “Pencil Thin Mustache”, “Banana Republics”, “Bama Breeze”, and “Back Where I Come From”.
The tour continues on Thursday October 22nd with a show at the Hollywood Bow in Los Angeles, CA.
I’ve seen Jimmy many times in concert and the Albuquerque concert was as good as any I’ve seen. I consider myself the original Parrot Head after I bought White Sport Coat two weeks after its release (listened to it every day) and never missed buying every album after that. A1A was his best album by the way.

Last saw him in ABQ in 1979 when The Amazing Rhythm Aces opened for him… He’s still got it but, frankly, the stuff he wrote when younger and hungrier still works best for me.
The show was awesome, but would have been better if not outdoors at the end of October! Albuquerque is st 5000′ and the winter comes early. Please come back in the early or late summer. Where can I hear that “Fruit Cakes” version with the Albuquerque/Breaking Bad lyrics, Fantastic!.
I can see he has winter wear on!
I’ve seen Jimmy 134 times since the Seventies and each show has been a fantastic event and fun filled evening. I’ve been to shows where some artists seem to just show up, plunk away and hit the road. Jimmy, however, always gives his all, at least that’s my impression. The band is always tight and toned and also seem to be in the fun blender. His most recent show in Pittsburgh was about two hours and we flew to the Tampa show in April which also was almost two hours. He doesn’t kill you on ticket prices (Eagles -$275. Rolling Stones – $250. for the same seating area) and you surely get your money’s worth. I think he’s got a few more years in him. I assume he does this for fun…..he surely doesn’t need the money.
Where can I get a recording on the 10/20/2015 Albuquerque show? Especially, Fruitcakes (with Space Station & Back To The Future lyrics). Great show!
