Jimmy Buffett performed in public for the first time since cancelling several shows back in September 2022 because of health issues. Among the songs that he performed at Bankie Banx Dune Preserve on Sunday January 8th was “Son of a Son of a Sailor”.

I had the opportunity to see Jimmy perform in the intimate setting of an on campus setting at UNC Wilmington in about 1974, but didn’t go because I didn’t know who he was! I have always regretted that decision! Soon afterward I became a life-long Parrotthead!
